VHS Video Tape: Dogs Evidence 3300.912.
This clip is about a minute total and was recorded on a special frame advance type of security VCR on 24 hour loop. What you will see is not in real time because it's advancing frame by frame....It records about 10 frames per minute and this is a minute long but it's also playing back in stop action or "frame advance" so it's suspended time or "real STRANGE time".
If you have Real Player then click this arrowan behold this disgusting act in which human society's has judged it PETTY THEFT, misdemeanor . If you don't then you must be an actual dog because you are out of it.
Begin Real Video: While the video loads (buffers) you see the first frame frozen from Camera 1., a wide color shot from above the buildings north side door. The thief is out on the sidewalk standing next to the double gate and you also see two 4x4" posts that will partially block our views some of the time. The tape begins to roll and you can see the thief has partially opened the gate and is baiting KOBE to come out while keeping Sheba inside at the same time.
Next is a shot from Camera 2 above in which you can just see his head in the bottom left corner. He's talking to KOBE while keeping his knee on the gate just enough to keep Sheba in and let KOBE squeeze on out.
Jump to Camera 3 in Black and White. It shows us a shot coming from the same 4x4 post that blocks the view in the first scene from camera 1. after a flicker roll and a half you see the thief bending down towards both dogs. KOBE is hard to see but Sheba is visibly pawing the gate and the thief's arm as for the first time he bends down in front of the main gate.
Begin ACTION:
This next sequence is simply one more go round from Camera 1 and is what they call the money shot. It's 2-3 seconds in real time and even less on video tape and It's amazing I was able to find it because I was searching the tape using fast forward. Here he picks up KOBE, shoves him under his wind breaker and runs south with his head looking back to see if anyone had seen him. A true genius. My camera's are not hidden.
Camera 1:
Is a tiny bullet cam bought online at TheSpyOutlet in New Jersey. I have three outdoor cameras total but all the best shots were from this one even though it's the farthest away.
Camera 2
It is a work of art in itself. My friend George Hurley gave me an old motor from an electric Car-door-window opener from an old Cadillac or Lincoln so we could turn the camera wherever we wanted to from the inside. A spy tool yes, but it is not invisible. Its LOUD and jerky when it's moving and is actually a distraction which becomes an even better deterrent. We put the motor unit on its side an attached a part from a wall speaker mount kit (this piece was the key) on to the small bolt end that would normally attach to the car window but is now spinning the camera left and right, The housing was made from a scrap piece of 6x8"downspout btw and of course some green duck tape to hold the sandwich baggie on to keep the moisture out. When this was first finished it was completely watertight with out the baggie but we had to adjust and focus it (take it apart) so many times that our custom made grommets that the wires for the power (30 amp DC transformer) and video signal (BNC/Coax) finally fell apart. It sticks out from the roof on a 2x4 which brings it closer to street for now. It will have a more permanent home and proper home (due to its extraordinary zoom) still to be decided but you can bet it will be way up high. It will also have audio recording and playback capabilities and we'll dress it up with some funky eyeballs to scare little kids if necessary.
Camera 3
The pole cam is top center. The other units are 150 watt floods and spots which can be switched on from inside or via a standard motion sensor.
This camera is Black & White and is actually the only true outdoor security camera of the 3. It's completely enclosed in it's own little beige box with no screws or wires or anything that catches you eye, except for the 3 flood lights that is. It was professionally installed by Peninsula Security here in San Pedro (look it up) owned by pal-cyber geek Mark Rosenfeld. He had told me about this camera sitting in his garage that he kept tripping over for at least 6 months and because I had to certain environmental conditions beyond my control here I said lets make a deal......... I had to keep bugging him for it but one day I finally broke him down and as soon as I saw that gate on my screen I knew it was over for me. I was in love.
Call me paranoid, call me a nutcase but don't forget to call me secure cause I don't care. Now I am be free for years I had been getting up from whatever I was doing every damn ten minutes to see what the noises were and what ever else was going on outside which was mostly nothing. I kept in shape going up & down (she said) but now... No way.. I won't get up for nothing. I get to see your trivial little problem and if you need my advise or assistance come on up because I ain't going nowhere. I'm beginning to feel my belly grow right now as I type. All I really need to complete the scenario is a laser to shoot you or a tube to send you change down for that pizza you'll deliver me ....and That's about it.
Y2K here we are. A helicopter would be nice too, for those late night trips to 7-11 now that I think about it..
